Micro carbide drills are used to machine small-diameter precision holes in compact components, instruments, molds, automotive parts, electronic components, medical parts, and fluid-control components.

A 3xD micro drill has a shorter cutting length and provides greater rigidity and entry stability. A 5xD micro drill provides additional reach for medium-depth holes but requires more attention to chip evacuation, runout, and drilling conditions.

Choose the shortest drill series that can fully reach the required hole depth. A shorter drill generally provides better rigidity and lower deflection risk.

Because the drill diameter is small, even limited spindle, holder, or tool runout can create uneven cutting-edge load, oversized holes, premature wear, or drill breakage.
