With a 3,000-square-meter production facility, precision CNC grinding equipment, coating capability, and dedicated inspection instruments, we support both standard production and customized tooling projects.

Our team pays close attention to the factors that directly influence drilling performance, including carbide material, point geometry, flute design, edge preparation, coating selection, coolant configuration, chip evacuation, hole accuracy, and tool consistency.

The factory layout covers CNC tool grinding, cutting-edge preparation, coating and surface treatment, dimensional inspection, appearance inspection, packaging, and order management.

WALTER HELICHECK PLUS is used to inspect critical tool profiles and geometric features with accuracy control within 3 μm. Cutting edges are also checked at up to 300x magnification for chipping, saw-tooth defects, grinding marks, and visible damage.

Our engineering work is based on actual drilling requirements rather than applying the same tool design to every application.

We review the workpiece material, hole diameter, drilling depth, entry condition, machine rigidity, spindle runout, coolant method, chip formation, and production target before recommending or developing a carbide drill solution.

Inspection at Every Critical Stage

Reliable carbide drill performance depends on more than the final diameter. Carbide material, drill geometry, cutting-edge condition, edge preparation, coating quality, and dimensional consistency must be controlled throughout the manufacturing process.
Landun CNC Tool carries out inspections at critical production stages to identify deviations before the tools are released for coating, final inspection, packaging, and shipment.

  • Carbide Blank Verification Carbide blanks are checked before production according to the drill diameter, tool structure, workpiece material, and application requirements, helping reduce the risk of inconsistent material quality affecting grinding accuracy, cutting-edge strength, and finished-tool performance.

  • In-Process Geometry InspectionCritical dimensions and geometric features are inspected during CNC grinding rather than only after production, including drill diameter, point angle, flute profile, helix angle, core structure, step dimensions, back taper, and customized tool profiles.

  • Edge Preparation & Pre-Coating CheckDrill points and cutting edges are checked after grinding and controlled edge preparation, with manual point honing and automatic rubber-bonded diamond abrasive polishing helping maintain edge consistency within ±0.003 mm while identifying chipping, saw-tooth defects, uneven preparation, and visible grinding damage before coating.

  • Final Geometry & Cutting Edge InspectionAfter coating or surface treatment, completed carbide drills undergo final dimensional, geometric, and appearance inspection using WALTER HELICHECK PLUS for critical profile control within 3 μm and up to 300x magnification to check cutting edges before packaging and shipment.
