12xD Deep Hole Carbide Drills for Stable Long-Hole Machining
The 12xD deep hole carbide drill series is designed for holes beyond the practical range of 3xD, 5xD, and 8xD drills. Its extended flute supports depths of up to twelve times the drill diameter, while internal coolant channels help remove heat and evacuate chips from the cutting zone. Because 12xD drilling is more sensitive to runout, chip congestion, coolant flow, and machine rigidity, correct tool selection and stable machining conditions are essential. Material-specific geometries, coatings, flute designs, and custom dimensions are available for different deep-hole applications.
