12xD Solid Carbide Drill —Engineered for Deep Stainless Steel Hole Machining

The 12xD carbide drill for stainless steel is designed for deep-hole machining applications where chip evacuation, heat control, hole straightness, and edge stability are critical. Compared with 5xD or 8xD drilling, 12xD stainless steel drilling has a much longer chip evacuation path and places higher demands on coolant delivery, flute rigidity, drilling stability, and process control.

Stainless steel materials such as 304, 316L, 17-4PH, and duplex stainless steel have high toughness, poor thermal conductivity, and strong work-hardening tendency. In 12xD deep-hole drilling, chips must be removed smoothly to avoid chip clogging, heat buildup, cutting edge overload, and unstable hole quality. If cutting heat and chip evacuation are not controlled, the drill may face rapid wear, burr formation, hole deviation, or premature failure.

This 12xD carbide drill is manufactured from imported MG grade 0.8 μm tungsten carbide rods with 10% cobalt content, supporting high-speed cutting and stable tool strength.
