180° Flat Bottom Carbide Drill —Engineered for Stable Entry and Flat Hole Bottoms

The flat bottom carbide drill is designed for drilling applications where a conventional pointed drill cannot provide the required hole-bottom shape, entry stability, or surface control.

Standard twist drills normally leave a conical hole bottom because of their pointed geometry. By comparison, the 180° cutting geometry of a flat bottom drill produces a substantially flatter hole bottom, making it suitable for blind holes, counterbores, bolt-seat preparation, and other applications where remaining bottom material must be minimized.

The flat-bottom geometry also supports more stable drilling on inclined, curved, interrupted, and uneven surfaces. Its center-cutting design helps reduce drill walking and lateral deflection during entry, while the rigid solid carbide body supports dimensional consistency and repeatable hole positioning.

This drill is manufactured from imported MG grade 0.8 μm tungsten carbide with 10% cobalt content. Controlled point grinding, edge preparation, Walter Helicheck Plus inspection, and 300x magnification checks help maintain cutting edge quality and geometric consistency.
